Kananda, in collaboration with Indian hoardings artist, M Ishaq, is creating a training programme in which artists and designers of all disciplines and inclinations will be invited to take part and learn this fascinating skill. Kananda is currently devising a touring event - Becoming Bollywood - which will combine the screening of extracts from classic Indian film with live performance. Broadcaster and Novelist Jameela Siddiqi will guide the audience through a history of Indian Cinema, interspersed by live performances from dancers and musicians. The event is to be piloted in the East Midlands and then toured to the South West. The package will be suitable for film festivals, film clubs, schools and colleges.
